Scanimation is a state-of-the-art, six-phase animation process created by Rufus Butler Seder. Seder is an inventor, artist, and filmmaker, as well as the author of several kid’s books which use Scanimation. Kids can see penguins waddle, horses gallop, kids kick a ball, and more! We worked with Workman Publishing to create a site to promote these books and products aimed at kids. The site adopts the bold colours from the books and uses various fun elements to keep kids interested. The aim is to be a fun, inviting site!

As part of the project we created a matching-pairs game using animated versions of what kids will see in the books themselves. Once you match a pair correctly, you see that pair animate – whether it’s a butterfly fluttering or an ice-skater spinning.
